While Designers or Engineers might be implementing your system and saying they like it, they might still be customizing or detaching components *sigh*.
Here are some of the ways I’ve tracked systems (quarterly) in the past.
Qualitative
- General support requests
- Visitors/requests to pair in office hours
- Quarterly survey NPS score (tip — ask the same question to generate a meaningful benchmark)
- Number of meaningful and minor contributions to your system
- Number of contributors (people) to your system
Quantitative
- Number of teams/projects using your design library
- Design component insertions
- Design component detachments
- Github teams/project pulls to your system
- Github unique component adoptions
